At TELETRUCKS.com ( “TELETRUCKS” “we” or “us” ), we are committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your   information safe.  This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and keep information that can identify you (“Personal Information”) when you create a TELETRUCKS account and use TELETRUCKS.com (the “Service Platform”), whether through mobile or desktop applications, to post content to the TELETRUCKS  community Service Platform, including but not limited to financial records,  pictures, audio, messages, comments, addresses and other information through TELETRUCKS Apps ; and other products and features  offered (the “Services” “ Features”); or when you interact with TELETRUCKS in any way (eg attending TELETRUCKS events) unless a different privacy policy is displayed.  TELETRUCKS processes this information about you in different ways, depending on what part of our Service Platform you use, and how you use our products or features.

Note that our Terms of Service apply to this Privacy Policy. By creating an account with TELETRUCKS, using the Services, or submitting any Personal Information via the Services, you are consenting to the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described below in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, do not access or use our Services or interact with any other aspect of our business.

What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of information gathered when you are using or accessing the Services. This Privacy Policy also covers our treatment of any information about you that our partners share with us or that we share with our partners.

 

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own, control, or manage, including but not limited to any third party websites, services, applications, or businesses (“ Third Party Services”). While we try to work only with those Third Party Services that share our respect for your privacy, we don't take responsibility for the content or privacy policies of those Third Party Services. We encourage you to carefully review the privacy policies of all Third Party Services you access.

 

Also: this Privacy Policy doesn’t govern the opinions as expressed by Users of the service in conversations, chats, messages, blogs. We will however use the terms and conditions to ensure we keep a safe community for everyone.

 

1.         THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU

We collect information about you when you provide it to us, when you use our Services, and when other sources provide it to us, as further described below. However, A VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE IS THAT all messaging via our messaging platform TELETRUCKS Connect is protected by end to end encryption technology and is never ever shared or accessible to anyone anywhere even to TELETRUCKS.

a.      Information you provide to us: We collect information about you when you input it into the Services or otherwise provide it directly to us.

  • Account and Profile Information: When you create an account on the Services (an " Account"), we’ll ask you for information such as your username, password, age, and email address (“ Account Information”) in order to provide you with the Services. We may also use Account Information, alone or together with other information, to enhance and improve the Services, such as by personalization. We use your age to verify that you can lawfully use the Services. We use your email address to verify your Account and to communicate with you, as described in more detail below. We also allow users to look for their friends by email address; you can, however, opt out of email lookup through your Account Settings. We collect information about you when you create or modify your profile, set preferences, sign-up for or make purchases through the Services. For example, you provide your contact information and, in some cases, billing information when you register for any Service that requires billing. You also have the option of adding a profile photo, bio, and other details to your profile information to be displayed in our Services. We keep track of your preferences when you select settings within the Services.
  • Email Communications with Us: As part of the Services, you may occasionally receive email and other communications from us. Administrative communications relating to your Account (e.g., for purposes of Account recovery or password reset) are considered part of the Services and your Account, which you may not be able to opt-out from receiving. We also may send you other kinds of emails, which you can opt-out of either from your Account Settings page or by using the “Opt-Out” link in the emails themselves. Note that we will never email you to ask for your password or other Account Information; if you receive such an email, please forward it to us.
  • Content you provide through our Services all as listed above, through different mediums including the desktop and mobile versions, where we collect and store content that you post, send, receive and share.
  • Payment Information: We collect certain payment and billing information when you register for certain paid Services. For example, we ask you to designate a billing representative, including name and contact information, upon registration. You might also provide payment information, such as payment card details, which we collect via secure payment processing services.

b.      Information we collect automatically when you use the Services: We collect information about you when you use our Services, including taking certain actions within the Services, such as:

  • Your use of the Services: We keep track of certain information about you when you visit and interact with any of our Services. This information includes the features you use; the links you click on; the type, size and filenames of attachments you upload to the Services; frequently used search terms; and how you interact with others on the Services.
  • Device and Connection Information: We collect information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other devices you use to access the Services. This device information includes your connection type and settings when you install, access, update, or use our Services. We also collect information through your device about your operating system, browser type, IP address, URLs of referring/exit pages, device identifiers, and crash data. We use your IP address and/or country preference in order to approximate your location to provide you with a better Service experience. How much of this information we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use to access the Services.
  • Cookies: TELETRUCKS and our third-party partners, such as our advertising and analytics partners, use cookies  to provide functionality and to recognize you across different Services and devices. c.       Information we receive from other sources: We receive information about you from:

·            Other users of the Services: Other users of our Services may provide information about you when they submit content through the Services. For example, you may be mentioned by someone else on a wall, or a user may upload content about you to a wall, or mention you in the TELETRUCKS Community Service. We also receive your email address from other Service users when they provide it in order to invite you to the Services. Similarly, an administrator may provide your contact information when they designate you as another administrator for a community.

·            TELETRUCKS Partners: We work with a global network of partners who provide consulting, implementation, training and other services around our products. Some of these partners also help us to market and promote our service. We may disclose your personal information to any of our employees who are bound by the TELETRUCKS privacy agreements.

·            Other partners: We receive information about you and your activities on and off the Services from third-party partners, such as advertising and market research partners who provide us with information about your interest in, and engagement with, our Services and online advertisements. Other types of third parties we share information may be Insurers, professional advisers, agents, suppliers, or subcontractors

2.  HOW WE USE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

How we use the information we collect depends in part on which Services you use, how you use them, and any preferences you have communicated to us. Below are the specific purposes for which we use the information we collect about you.

·         To provide the Services and personalize your experience: Administering and connecting information and activities  across TELETRUCKS services and products;  personalizing features of our Services for you to give a tailored and consistent experience based on your connections, preferences, interests and activities based on data we collect and learn from you, enabling your use of the services available across our various products and allowing for a seamless sign up for instance; Using Location-related information such as your current location, where you live, the places you like to go, and the businesses and people you're near-to provide, personalize and improve our  services such as Mentor and Mingle; also including ads, for you and others.

  • For research and development: We are always looking for ways to make our Services smarter, faster, secure, integrated and useful to you. We use collective learnings about how people use our Services and feedback provided directly to us to troubleshoot and to identify trends, usage, activity patterns and areas for integration and improvement of the Services. We also test and analyze certain new features with some users before rolling the feature out to all users.
  • To communicate with you about the Services: We use your contact information to send transactional communications via email and within the Services, including confirming your transactions, reminding you of subscription expirations, responding to your comments, questions and requests, providing customer support, and sending you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages. Depending on your settings, we send you email notifications when you or others interact on the Services, We also provide tailored communications based on your activity and interactions with us. For example, certain actions you take in the Services may automatically trigger a feature or third-party app suggestion within the Services that would make that task easier. We also send you communications as you onboard to a particular Service to help you become more proficient in using that Service. These communications are part of the Services and in most cases you cannot opt out of them. If an opt out is available, you will find that option within the communication itself or in your account settings.
  • To market, promote, and drive engagement with the Services: We use your contact information and information about how you use the Services to send promotional communications that may be of specific interest to you, including by email and by displaying ads on other companies' websites and applications, as well as on platforms like Google. These communications are aimed at driving engagement and maximizing what you get out of the Services, including information about new features, survey requests, newsletters, and events we think may be of interest to you. We also communicate with you about new product offers, promotions and contests.

·         Customer support: We use your information to resolve technical issues you encounter, to respond to your requests for assistance, to analyze crash information, and to repair and improve the Services. Where you give us permission to do so, we share your information with a TELETRUCKS Expert for the purpose of responding to support-related requests. We also deal with inquiries and complaints made by or about you relating to our Services.

  • For safety and security: We use information about you and your Service use to verify accounts and activity, to monitor suspicious or fraudulent activity and to identify violations of Service policies.
  • To protect our legitimate business interests and legal rights: Where required by law or where we believe it is necessary to protect our legal rights, interests and the interests of others, we use information about you in connection with legal claims, compliance, regulatory, and audit functions, and disclosures in connection with the acquisition, merger or sale of a business.
  • With your consent: We use information about you where you have given us consent to do so for a specific purpose not listed above. For example, we may publish testimonials or featured customer stories to promote the Services, with your permission.

3.      HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We will not sell information about you to advertisers or other third parties..  We do share certain types of information about you with other Service users as described below:

Sharing with other Service users

  • Community Forums: You can create content, such as your company’s profile, or blogs or forums which may contain information about you, and grant permission to others to see, share, edit, copy and download that content based on settings you select. Some of the features of the Services display some or all of your profile information to other Service users when you share or interact with specific content. Similarly, when you join our community, your name, profile picture and contact information and will be displayed in a list for other team members so they can find and interact with you. You can check the board settings at any time to confirm whether a particular feature is public or private. You should be aware that any information you provide on public forums - including profile information associated with the account you use to post the information - may be read, collected, and used by any member of the public who accesses the Platform. Your posts and certain profile information may remain even after you terminate your account particularly if they have been reshared. We urge you to consider the sensitivity of any information you input into these Services.
  • To request removal of your information from our Platform please go to TELETRUCKS Help Center.  In some cases, we may not be able to remove your information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to and why.

Sharing with third parties

·         We share information with third parties that help us operate, provide, improve, integrate, customize, support and market our Services.

·         We work with third-party partners who help us provide and improve our Services or who use TELETRUCKS tools to grow their businesses, which makes it possible for us to operate some of our services for free.

·         Where we provide advertisers with reports about the kinds of people seeing their ads and how their ads are performing, we don't share information that personally identifies you unless you give us permission.

·         We may disclose your personal information to any of our employees or sub-contractors who are bound by the TELETRUCKS privacy agreements.

 

Other third party agents we may share with are:

  • Apps, websites, and third-party integrations on or using our Products.
  • New owner - If the ownership or control of all or part of our Products or their assets changes, we may transfer your information to the new owner.
  • Insurers
  • Professional Advisers
  • Subcontractors
  • Partners who use our analytics services.
  • Advertisers.
  • Measurement partners.
  • Partners offering goods and services in our Products.
  • Vendors and service providers.
  • Researchers and academics.
  • Law enforcement or legal requests. We share information with law enforcement or in response to legal requests in the circumstances outlined below.

4.   HOW WE STORE AND SECURE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information storage and security

·         We use data hosting service providers in the United States to host the information we collect, and we use technical measures to secure your data. While we implement safeguards designed to protect your information, no security system is impenetrable and due to the inherent nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that data, during transmission through the Internet or while stored on our systems or otherwise in our care, is absolutely safe from intrusion by others. We will take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of your personal information. We will store all the personal information you provide on our secure (password- and firewall-protected) servers. All electronic financial transactions entered into through our website will be protected by encryption technology. You are responsible for keeping the password you use for accessing our Platform and Services confidential; we will not ask you for your password (except when you log in).

 

·         A Word about the Security behind TELETRUCKS Connect: Because this is our messaging app, we have built in secure features specifically to keep your private conversations across all of TELETRUCKS, particularly TELETRUCKS connect, very secure. TELETRUCKS Connect uses the latest end-to-end encryption between you and anyone you are messaging. We ensure only you and the person you're communicating with can read what is sent, and nobody in between, not TELETRUCKS, not TELETRUCKS employees, not anyone.

How long we keep information

How long we keep information we collect about you depends on the type of information, as described in further detail below. After such time, we will either delete or anonymize your information or, if this is not possible (for example, because the information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your information and isolate it from any further use until deletion is possible.

  • Account information: We retain your account information until you delete your account. We also retain some of your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, to support business operations and to continue to develop and improve our Services. Where we retain information for Service improvement and development, we take steps to eliminate information that directly identifies you, and we only use the information to uncover collective insights about the use of our Services, not to specifically analyze personal characteristics about you.

·         Information you share on the Services: Your information may be shared by People and accounts you share and communicate with, and content others share or reshare about you. This content may be reshared all over the internet beyond TELETRUCKS. If your account is deactivated or disabled, some of your information and the content you have provided will still be available as long as you have shared it to other users.

  • Marketing information: If you have elected to receive marketing emails from us, we retain information about your marketing preferences unless you specifically ask us to delete such information. We retain information derived from cookies and other tracking technologies for a reasonable period of time from the date such information was created.
  • TELETRUCKS Connect messaging app information: We do not keep messaging information, as it is protected by end to end encryption.

5.      HOW TO ACCESS AND CONTROL YOUR INFORMATION

You have certain choices available to you when it comes to your information. Below is a summary of those choices, how to exercise them and any limitations. We will respond to requests about this within a reasonable timeframe.

Your rights: You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you; provision of such information will be subject to the following:

·         The payment of a fee and

·         The supply of appropriate evidence of your identity – We will accept a photocopy of your passport certified by a notary plus an original copy of a utility bill showing your current address.

We may withhold personal information that you request to the extent permitted by law.

Your request and choices may be limited in certain cases: for example, if fulfilling your request would reveal information about another person, or if you ask to delete information which we are permitted by law or have compelling legitimate interests to keep.

Access and update your information: Our Services and related documentation give you the ability to access and update certain information about you from within the Service. For example, you can access your profile information from your account and search for content containing information about you using key word searches in the Service. You can update your profile information within your profile settings.

Delete your information: You can delete your account through your account settings. When you delete your account, we delete content you have posted or created such as your company’s profile, photos, videos and stories which you will no longer be able to retrieve. Information that others have shared about you isn't part of your account and won't be deleted. You may also deactivate your account at any time.

You can also delete certain information about you from within the Service. For example, you can remove certain profile information within your profile settings. Please note, however, that we may need to retain certain information for record keeping purposes, to complete transactions or to comply with our legal obligations.

6.      HOW WE OPERATE AND TRANSFER INFORMATION WE COLLECT INTERNATIONALLY

Information that we collect may be stored, processed in, and transferred between any of the countries in which we operate and outside your place of residence in order to enable us to use the information in accordance with this policy and as stated

  • Information that we collect may be transferred to countries which do not have data protection laws equivalent to those in force in the European Economic Area: the United States of America, Russia, Japan, China, and India.
  • Personal information that you publish on our website or submit for publication on our website may be available, via the internet, around the world. We cannot prevent the use or misuse of such information by others.
  • You expressly agree to the transfers of personal information described in this policy.

7.      OTHER IMPORTANT PRIVACY INFORMATION

 

·         Our policy towards children: The Services are not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact TELETRUCKS help center.

·         Changes to our Privacy Policy: We may change this privacy policy from time to time. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice by adding a notice on the Services homepages, login screens, or by sending you an email notification. If you disagree with any changes to this privacy policy, you will need to stop using the Services and deactivate your account(s), as outlined above.
